I am an artist, designer, educator and researcher. My practice and research explores inclusion and collaboration. I design opportunities for people, with people, using such tools as visual communication, collaborative design and social engagement. My work aims to provide accessible and meaningful entry points for everyone, and particularly those who traditionally face additional barriers. I believe everyone has the right to access the arts – yes because it can support self expression and emotional wellbeing, but also because being involved in creativity allows us to ask new questions, make difficult decisions and contribute different solutions – for ourselves and for society.

I am Senior Lecturer in MA Inclusive Art Practice, University of Brighton and business manager and co-ordinating Director of Rocket Artists’ supported Studios, a CIC social enterprise. I initially trained as an Illustrator (BA) then an Inclusive Arts Practitioner (MA) and my interests have always steered me towards work that is socially engaged, has an emphasis on skills and learning and challenges the norm. My research examines the relationships between art & design, product and process, communities and communication.
